First, I would like to thank you for the dedication some of you show to decipher the riddles at the end of each entry.
One of you has even commented me about the Mini which, of course, it seemed obvious that it was a Mini, but could not be because the Mini had the fuel filler on the other side (on the left and the photo was the right to a car) ... God! I had not noticed ...
This week's winner is Alejandro!!! (not with little effort) ... which leaves us classification as follows:
Javi 2 (BMW 850 and Adam)
James 1 (Citroen C4 Picasso)
Alejandro 1 (Mini F56)
And the result was: Renault ZOE !!!
LET ME A SMALL TEACHING SUBDIVISION.
I´ve just commented where the Mini´s R56 fuel filler was (left, ie, driver's side) on the new F56 (right), well, that brings to mind a detail that I thought many times and recently I have deciphered.
Have you ever drived out in a car that is not yours, either rent or borrow? and went for fuel with the hose and put yourself on the other side of which is the fuel filler ...
Well, there is a way to know which way the fuel filler is without leaving the cockpit ...
The fuel level icon we have always seen is a fuel dispenser.
Well, the fuel filler in every car is in the same side as the hose is in that icon ...
Do any of you already knew? I hope I have surprised you as I was surprised the day I discovered it ...
NOW LET'S START WITH ANALYSIS OF TODAY, VA ALREADY BEING TIME: THE ZOE.
I have a cousin who is named ZOE as well ... until a couple of months ago it was all I knew of the name ...
The truth is that the first time I posted something about a 100% electric car, it was the entry that generated more readings, hence the title. I do not know if it was because it was the BMW i3 or curiosity. Once you know the impact of this post I can be closer to the answer.
It really is a funny car this Renault. Something smaller than a Clio, attractive, aesthetically speaking, with a simple, modern language, but not at all bland or boring, to me personally at least, I like it.
Interesting, very interesting tool I think. The issue is that the city car segment is full of tempting offers very good quality, with characteristics similar to this small, five-door and automatic ...
I think the mistake is trying to present it as an alternative to another cars with combustion engine. I think that whoever buys this car will not be looking for deals and discounts by dealers, basically because they do not sell then none.
It is fine about driving an electric car, but right now, this is an expensive product, and I explain this in particular. At first it seems affordable for a little more than 14,000 € (I know that for that price you buy a German small city car ...), but we have to add about 85 € per month for car batteries, and a city car with a consumption of about 6 liters in city ... gives us for some 1000km, and then only with car batteries, without the use of electricity every 150Km recharge ...
However, understanding the economic issue (which is not trivial) the car seems like a blast, it's a different and distinctive vehicle with real few alternatives (Mitsubishi i-Miev, Citroen Zero and Peugeot iOn on one side and the Nissan LEAF by another, leaving the BMW i3 as a premium alternative) as now being incorporated other brands (VW, Audi ...) and being the LEAF the only thing left to test drive, I think the choice between them will come determined by budget issues not to personal tastes.
The equipment is a good level, but again I miss a radar-anti collision, which I think works dramatically and really, when you equip all cars type system can virtually eliminate collisions in urban areas (hallucinatory but true) in this section, again the VW Up! leading the way (and imminently electric version).
My impression is clearly positive and favorable, provided it does not force us to buy them, as they did 25 years ago with diesels ... I declare myself a staunch defender of gasoline engines, not just as a matter of romance, but I'm not going to extend about it, as next entry will be about this theme, in which I will test the same model in Diesel and Petrol variants to give you my opinion.
AND HERE YOU HAVE THE CAR TRACK NEXT WEEK ...
BY THE WAY! 99% OF THE PHOTOS THAT ARE MADE PUBLIC FOR ME (FOR THE GOOD AND THE BAD ...)
